In 2017, the Westchester Medical Center began a $230 million expansion, encompassing a 270,000-square-foot Ambulatory Care Pavilion on its Valhalla campus. The sleek eight-story glass and steel building is the largest health care construction project in Westchester County since the construction of Westchester Medical Center’s main tower in 1977.
The pavilion includes 185,000 square feet of ambulatory care space, including an ambulatory surgery center, advanced imaging center and a heart and vascular institute. Upon completion, it will have a 20,000-square-foot private-room expansion for the medical center and 75,000 square feet for doctors’ offices. The pavilion is expected to create 180 new full-time jobs once opened.
