Kyle Field at Texas A&M University

College Station, Texas

Texas A&M University’s Kyle Field renovation took the sports facility from seating 92,000 to 102,512, making it the largest football stadium in the SEC and the fourth largest in the country. Construction was conducted in two phases, which allowed the Aggie football team to play on their field during the season without interrupting any home games. This was a fast track project that had to be completed within a specified time frame so that it would be ready for the first game of the school year.

This project required extensive collaboration to get decisions made, design completed and coordination organized to support an accelerated construction schedule. In addition to the difficultly of logistics when working on an active college campus, high traffic areas, grandstands and access ramps also provided many logistical and safety challenges.
