The new patient tower at HCA Plaza Medical Center is the most recent addition to what is known as “Medical City, Fort Worth”. The expanded Emergency Department takes up most of the new first floor and has 30 patient rooms equipped for varying degrees of illness and trauma.
The expanded intensive care unit has 28 beds, and the roof includes the complex’s second helipad. The new Emergency Department includes two trauma rooms, three resuscitation rooms and a safety room for behavioral health patients. The new building also provides extra space for the hospital’s liver transplant program.
