Dell Seton Medical Center
Austin, Texas
The Dell Seton Medical Center is a teaching hospital of The University of Texas at Austin. As technology continues to advance, the new facility is designed to meet the operational needs of a 21st century teaching hospital and accommodate medical residents and students seeking first-hand healthcare experience.
Site logistics were the biggest challenge on this project due to the congested area in which the project was constructed. The typical patient room bathrooms were prefabricated offsite, and then set as a complete finished unit. This accelerated the schedule as well as minimized the number of workers needed on site.
