Amgen Bionext

West Warwick, Rhode Island

DSI played the key role in construction of the Amgen Bionext project as the hygienic process piping contractor and installer of all major process equipment. The facility manufactures the Amgen blockbuster drug Enbrel™, which has benefited the lives of millions of patients worldwide. Enbrel is prescribed for the treatment of five inflammatory conditions, including moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis (RA), among others.

Amgen Bionext included four levels of process equipment, vessels and nine 20,000-liter Bioreactors. The project was accelerated to 16 weeks ahead of schedule with over 1 million safe work hours on-site.
